Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing art. The word Reiki (ray-key) is translated as “universal life energy”.
Reiki balances energies and harmonizes all systems in the body, bringing about a state of relaxation allowing the body to heal itself. Relaxation is perhaps the single most important key to health and well-being. It is the antidote to stress which is known to contribute to the development of disease.

• Reiki can reduce pain and stress and promotes self-healing, on all levels of mind, body and spirit. When life energy is high, you are healthy and balanced, more relaxed and less likely to get sick. When energy is low, you’ll often be more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness.

• Reiki is gentle and non-invasive. It is both positive and safe. It works as a wonderful complement to other systems of healing.

• Reiki has helped to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, chronic pain, stress, and other health conditions. Reiki has also helped patients recovering from surgery and those experiencing side effects from cancer treatments. It has also helped impart a sense of peace to those who are dying as well as their families & caregivers.

Reiki Sessions are offered at 30 or 60 minutes and frequency depends on your health status and needs. Some health issues can be resolved in two or three sessions, others may take ongoing sessions on a recurring basis.

Tell your healthcare provider about any complementary and alternative practices you use. Reiki is not used as a replacement for conventional care or to postpone seeing a doctor about a medical problem.
